The City Cement Factory, located in Murat Governorate, 135 km from Riyadh, started its work in the last quarter of 2007 with a production capacity of 5,000 tons of clinker per day, equivalent to 1.75 million tons of cement annually. The plant started its trial production in November 2007, Commercial production started during January of the year 2008 AD.

The office of Dr. Eisa Al-Hartani has conducted a study for him with the purpose of:

1. Obtaining the environmental license for the factory activity.
2. Obtaining the environmental license to use tire burning technology as an alternative fuel.
3. Obtaining the environmental license for the technology of using carbon cells as fuel.
